Hello I'm Jolene Haven owner of Havens Poms.
I was just out of high school when I started a
career in dog grooming. I've always loved dogs
and knew I wanted to spend everyday of my life
with them. It was a blessing to do something for
a living that made me so happy. I loved working
with dogs, and grooming became a creative
outlet for me, but eventually my body just
couldn't handle the hours on my feet and lifting
heavy dogs. I left grooming after 20 years for a
desk job, but my heart still ached to be with the
love of my life..... my dogs. I still work a 40
hour week to pay for my hobbie but it's worth it!

WHY POMS? I've owned several different
breeds over the years but I've always loved
Poms. I bought my first Pom 12 years ago and
been head over heals for them ever since. When
I saw my very first parti Pom and merle Pom I
knew I wanted to be a part of bettering the exotic
Poms both in appearance and health.

My wonderful husband Glen and daughter
Desir'ee understood how important this dream
was to me and chose to give up our city life to
move 20 minutes away from our community and
into the country. Everyone is loving the country
life including our dogs! Now we have ten
beautiful acres with a pond and plenty of room
for the Poms to run around and play.

I'd like to thank my mentors in the pom world
who have opened their arms, homes, and hearts
to me. Carol Moore of Cjm's House of Poms,
Anita Buckman of Aj's Parti Poms and Judy
Grissom of Arcadian Poms. They have held my
hand through the tough times that all us "young
breeders" go through, and never gave up on
me!!! Thanks girls!!! I love you all!!!!!

an active part of picking my new babies and
loving them like they were grandchildren!!!
